Reiki
Reiki is a Japanese word that refers to Universal Healing energy, Rei = Universal and Ki or Qi = Energy. This Ki or Qi is our internal energy, the energy that animates us. A Reiki practitioner acts as a channel for this Healing Energy, offering it to the physical, mental and energetic body of the person receiving the session. Over the course of my twenty-six years as a Reiki practioner and teaching Master, I have supported women in the process of childbirth, the critical and terminally ill, and supported the dying in their transition process.

The benefits of Reiki are many and the experience differs from person to person. An in-person session is a hands-on treatment of approximately 60 minutes. Recipients report feeling clam, relaxed and renewed after a session. Since my time is divided between the U.S and the Caribbean, in-person sessions will be available in Trinidad, Guadeloupe and the U.S. Please contact me if you would like to know when I will be available in your area.

Many find it a bit ‘strange’ to think of the possibility of sending Reiki from afar. For clarity, I often suggest thinking of sending love to someone you hold dear in your heart, or sending a hug when ending a phone call. The recipient isn’t physically present, yet the energy of the love or hug reaches its destination because of the intention. Similarly, sending Reiki from afar, or a distant session, the practitioner is using intention and the tools of the Reiki training to send this healing energy to the recipient. A Reiki session from afar offers the same benefits as an in-person Reiki treatment, though the practitioner and the recipient are not in the same room.
